| Morning, I had band removal, hiatus hernia repair (surprise) & sleeve all done within the one surgery - it was discussed with the surgeon prior obviously if it could be a possibility depending on what he found at the time. whatever the outcome it was out of my hands - happily I woke to find it was all done & to be quite honest, I was pretty sore & sorry but not so sure I would have gone back quite so readily for round 2 in a big hurry. Have lost heaps of weight, now feeling great & no problems after the initial expected post op nasties. SOS | |

| He works with Dr Talbot and have heard good things about him.
Dr Jorgensen is another great one at St George Private as well (but then I'm probably biased). He did my band, de-band and sleeve.

| Thanks Gail! Not sure I will find one but trying to minimise the wait as much as possible so I don't gain too much weight during that time. I think I'm gonna go with Kuzinkovas at St George Private. Anyone got anything to report about him?? | |

| Hi Dannielle
Can't help with a surgeon who will do them both at the same time unfortunately.
The reason a lot of surgeons won't is because they want to give your stomach a chance to recover/heal after the band removal especially if they find the band has eroded or there have been other complications. Also having the band around the stomach can cause it to concetina in on itself a bit so could possibly cause issues for the the staple line they put in when doing the sleeve and you could be at a higher risk for having a leak.
Most like to have a 3 month wait between procedures.
Good luck in your search for a surgeon who will.

| Howdy All!!
Just wondering if anyone knows of a surgeon in NSW that will remove the band and do a sleeve in the same surgery?
Cheers, Dannielle. | |
