My PHI kicks in on June 1st but if I get the job I am hoping to (please cross your fingers for me) I probably won't be able to have my surgery on that date like it is currently planned.

I wonder if I pay an extra month's premium will my insurance provider allow my wait time to come forward a month? Has anyone looked into this?

I may have stumbled on to a genius idea! Hmmmm....I wonder... 878453

You could try, but I think 12 months wait, means 12 months wait, otherwise everyone would be paying 12 months upfront!

Fraggle, unfortunately - i tried that with pretty much every single health fund out there - they can't do it.

Apparently to do that they would need to backdate the policy - and its against the law to do that :(

Private health insurance companies won't let you do that. Sorry :(
