Hi there
I am 1 and 3/4 years out (done Feb 2009)

I lost in total 30kgs within a year, but since Feb I have slowly gained 3kgs back since then through poor food choices and snacking - so yes, you CAN gain back weight even with a sleeve.

No regrets and no complications.

I want to know how many complications you have had ? A few hiccups, due to lack of fluid intake.. SIP SIP SIP SIP!

How much weight you have loss? 59 Kgs (130 lbs)

And have you gained any weight back ? Not so far, my weight loss goal is around 90kg

And if you regret that you did the operation? No regrets... well.. just the one... that I didn't do it SOONER!

hi snoos and welcome
i had my surgery in june 2008 and look at my signature for results
i had lots of vomiting at first, but most people don't
no other complications tho
my weight currently goes up and down within the same few kgs, but essentially i have been around 75kg for the last 9 months or so
you can read more about my experience in my diary, called chris's journey
i have never regretted having the sleeve!
good luck with your research

Hello Sandra,
This is a positive surgery. I have lost 42 kilos in 5 months. I am truelly amazed and sometimes I cry because I know that this time I will succeed. When my clothes become too big I don't hesitate to bag them up and pass them on. I will never be that big again. I love my sleeve. Margi.

The Sleeve is a relatively new surgery in Australia as well. There are a couple of people on here that have been done for about 3 years.

I want to know how many complications you have had ? I didn't have any medical complications but it took my brain a while to figure out that I physically cannot eat what I used to eat.

How much weight you have loss? One year and 1 week out I have lost 45 kilos

And have you gain any weight back ? Still losing weight

And if you regret that you did the operation? Definitely NO REGRETS
