| Hi Everyone:
I just found this wonderful group. So happy I did. I had my sleeve done on Jan 7, 2010 so three weeks tomorrow. I am still on full liquid diet and just starting to get the minimum protein and water in a day. I am finding it reallly difficult. Seems like I drink all day long. I didn't eat all day long before the sleeve. LOL. I have a lot of mixed emotions. I have 0 appetite for the first time in my life. I have been feeling really anxious since the surgery but I also had some complications and was in the hospital for 12 days instead of 2. Everyone keeps telling me every day gets better, that the first month is the hardest.
Would love to chat to anyone. Thank you for having such an informative group.
My back feels a lot better already and I have lost 21 lbs since surgery. 73 in total since November. So I am feeling really great with respect to that. My health was really going down hill the last couple years.
Lisa. | |

| Welcome Paula,
I am curious to know why you weren't for the surgery when Hannykins had hers?
I'm with hannykins - the preop was hard but a distant memory that was well worth the torture.
I was sleeved in August by Dr Loi (Dr J partner). I had a dream run with surgery, spent 3 nights in hospital, no pain only a little nausea on the first night. I have lost 39.3kgs (only 700 grams away from the big 40). I still have a lot to lose but couldn't have done it without Dr Loi and my sleeve.

| Diet is a word that after this you won't use again...healthy eating perhaps because we can still make bad food choices, just caan't fit as much in.
The pre op diet is rough but worth it.
You won't know yaself!
And your friend sounds.......amazing....oh wait, that's ME!!!!!! lol

| Hi Everyone,
I have made the big decision to get the sleeve done. My friend has just had it done. At first I was against it but now I have come around. I have made an appointment to go to an information session with Dr Jorgenson and I have also joined a health fund.
So at this stage my surgery will be about this time next year. So the countdown is on. I plan to build my fitness this year but I am refusing to use the word diet......I am so sick of that word.
