Thanks.  I'm pleased to hear you are doing well - that's what we all want to hear.  But, please feel free to let others know that there is help out there if they are struggling.  Changing eating habits is quite a process, and sometimes a little extra support is all that is needed to set people on the right track.  All the best for now :)

Yes, just the same, but we meet on-line via Skype - so we get to see each other, see slides, and talk!

I have run a few courses online as a one-on-one basis and it all seems to work out OK.  I'm happy to chat about it more if you would like to set up a meeting to check me out!

My name is Jane and I am an independent Dietitian working in Warrawong.  I offer a service that is different from everyone else in that I run the Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating for Bariatric Surgery course. The course is designed for those contemplating surgery - or who have had surgery but still struggle with food and managing their weight.

If you are thinking about surgery, then the 8 week course (yes, 8 x 90 minute weekly workshop sessions) will help to get your mind in the right space for you to get the best outcome from your surgery for the rest of your life.

I am sure you have heard that not everyone is successful (for many reasons) and after a couple of years, the weight just creeps back on.  Well, perhaps I can help you prevent that from happening (or help if it has) because sometimes, it isn't about the food.

I have read a few posts where people have expressed dissatisfaction with their dietitians - please don't think we are all the same!  The feedback I have received from course participants has been so encouraging and I just want to let people know that you do have options.

Surgery is a big step - make sure your head is in the right space before or afterwards - so you can get on and live to the fullest!
