Dr Carolyn Jameson -Westmead Private

I'm currently researching and have similar questions re-price and recoveries etc as Shazio.
I assume everyone's been operated on by now :)

i had my consultation with her on the 14th October and i have my surgery booked for May 16th next yr. feels like its ages away.

I have a few questions .. I'm weighing up a very reputable bariatric surgeon , who did the surgery of someone I work with and she has nothing but praise for.  However my dr has referred me to dr Jameson. 

I have PHI.. And the cost for me with the other surgeon us around $5000.. Is dr Jameson a similar cost? 

Did u have the op at westmead private? 

How long were u in hospital for ? 

Also, a big question for me is around smoking .. I know really bad and something I will work on once my weight is under control .. But I have heard some surgeons will request u give up .. So just wanted know whether u are aware of dr Jameson's stance on smoking . 

How soon did u get ur consultation after you called them and then how long was it till u had your surgery ?
