thanks lisa66, its great to hear you could still go ahead with it, I sort of freaked out a bit as I really dont know as much about the gastric bypass.   Only have a wk until I see him now, so fingers crossed it all works out.

I have pre existing reflux, which my surgeon is aware of. I'm currently medicated at a reasonably high dose, but my surgeon is happy to go ahead. I have a hiatus hernia, which ill be fixed during my op so there is a slight possibility my reflux will improve. Anyway, my surgeon said if I had Barrett's Oesophagus he would not do a sleeve, but reflux on it's own doesn't rule me out.

Hi,

I had the gastroscopy a few wks ago and I don't see my surgeon for a few more wks!  But I went to my GP to fill a script on the weekend and he said he had the results there and that I had inflammation on my oesophagus!

Has anyone else had this and if so did you surgeon still let you go through with the sleeve?

Thanks
