| Hi Becky and Carissa!
I have my first consult coming up on Monday and I'm quite nervous! Good to hear both your appointments went well.
Becky, did you get a date?

| Hi Becky,
I'm going with Dr Adib through the Weight Loss Solutions Australia on the Gold Coast on the 11th February.
Had all my dietician, psychologist, nursing and surgical appts in one hit yesterday thankfully and even though they are on the Gold Coast, I am having my surgery at The Wesley in Brisbane. Post op for the first year, I get unlimited visits with the dietitian, psychologist, nurse and surgeon as necessary :) that was one of the selling points for me going with them. And because I live in Brisbane, I can do skype, phone, email etc for those appts - what ever is comfortable for me!
I'm so happy you are like the surgeon you saw - that's half the battle really - feeling comfortable with the person who is going to leave you the most vulnerable!

| Hi Carissa
What surgeon are you going with and whats your surgery date?
I didn't get a quote yet.. wants to wait for Dieticain, Psych and physio for the go ahead :-)
I liked my doc - does an extra precaution against the leak with glue , staples and some sort of wrapping thing. they do it in the States now.

I have my first consult tomorrow with Dr Ian Baxter tomorrow (24/11).
Any last minute advice?
I already have the results of Barium swallow and bloods to him.
Is it at this consult I get the quote to send to DHS for Super?
EEEKKK :-)
xx I just had my first consult this evening with my surgeon and he provided me a letter with why I am having the surgery and the cost break down etc etc to send with my super application. Good luck! I got my sleeve date today, so I hope you get great news too!!
