| It would be good if it was an app that could be used on a computer, not just a mobile.
Weight graph would be important, with room for goals/significant events etc, and no limit to the number of weights you can enter. Printable.

| One example - I was told by the dietician I should be aiming (not exceeding) for a 500 calorie a day intake. Surgeon says - don't count calories, just eat healthy meals, good proteins and listen to your body, but if you have to count, 800 - 1000. Dietician - wanted me on 2 shakes and 1 meal a day, while surgeon wanted 3 small meals.
Does my head in. Dietician didn't think I was losing weight fast enough. Surgeon was very happy with my progress. GAH.

| Thank you to everyone who has responded to the survey. It has been great to get your input !
Your opinions are important in shaping the future ways that we can support you, with an emphasis on convenience for you and to improve your access to useful, targeted information.
For those of you still deciding whether to participate, just a heads up that the survey closes after this weekend. Make sure that your needs are represented and have your say. The prize-draw is on Monday the 14th of September.
Cheers,

Wish there was somewhere in the survey to express how annoying it is when the dietician and the surgeons advice conflicts hugely. There is absolutely no uniformity across dieticians either. Very very frustrating. Hi there, thanks for doing that. It could be an app to use on a computer too. I appreciate the feedback on lack of space to provide more comments and I wish that I had included it. Not too late to have your say, as I am happy to be contacted via PM if you want to provide more comments/examples. Cheers Louise

| Hi everyone, my name is Louise and I am a Brisbane based student dietitian spending my final year of uni completing a research project looking for new ways (that are convenient and individualised) to provide life-long support to people who have had weight loss surgery.
My research uses a secure, anonymous online survey about communication preferences, nutrition monitoring, smartphones, app use and the services that dietitians provide. The survey can be accessed here: http://survey.qut.edu.au/f/184737/3e95/
No doubt there are varied opinions about dietitians and I’d love to hear from more people about what they need. I have already reached my quota of dietitians and health professionals, but I would love to hear from MORE recipients of weight loss surgery. The last day of this survey is Saturday September 12th.
Smartphone ownership or seeing a dietitian are not eligibility criteria. Anyone living in Australia who has had weight loss surgery is eligible to share their views. So feel free to share the survey with others outside of this forum too.
All participants have an option to go in the draw to win a $50 Coles Myer gift card.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me via email or PM.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Regards
Louise The survey can be accessed here: http://survey.qut.edu.au/f/184737/3e95/
