| WOW! You've all got wonderful victories achieved and yet to achieve! Well done everyone :D
Some of mine are:
- Being able to sit in any chair and not get it stuck to my massive butt when I stood up (Drs waiting rooms were the worst!) - Not needing an extender on an airplane. Although I hadn't needed one (Yet), I always felt like it was so tight that it'd pop open at any moment. Not anymore! - Being able to wrap a normal sized towel around me. - Walking longer without my thighs rubbing together or feeling like I'm going to die. - Being able to shop in any store and buying things I like and that suit my body shape instead of whatever boring baggy stuff that fits. - Not changing my clothes 50'000 times before I leave the house because I feel good in anything I own - Hiking up mountains whilst on holiday in USA. - Wearing high heel shoes and not having sore feet for days after. - Being able to buy cute underwear instead of huge nanna panties. - Having the confidence to quit my job of 13 years and to go to University to start a new career path. - No longer having food rule my life!!

| - Being able to walk without thighs painfully rubbing together causing rash then sometimes skin splitting as sweat pours down making it hurt even more! Benpanthen was always in my bag. - Crossing my legs comfortably. - Looking at a dress in the front display thinking hey, I could actually it into that now! - Having something naughty to eat and not feeling guilty (as long as it doesn't make me feel ill or give me dumping) | |

| I'm now 7 months post op and have lost 35 kg as of this morning on the scales. Woo hoo.
What that means in real terms is -
I can roll over in bed without causing a tsunami for my husbands (dis)pleasure
I can get out of the lounge chair without requiring a run-up (a couple of attempts before achieving lift off) lol or my own private crane
I can paint my toenails and/or cut them without passing out from lack of oxygen
I require a safety pin on my trousers to keep them up, putting off buying anything new until I lose the next 30 kg (my erstwhile goal) in the meantime I'm working my way back down through all the lovely clothes that have not fit me for several years
My belly ALMOST doesn't poke out further than my boobs (depending which bra I'm wearing), I think that's important for us girls lol that our boobs enter the room before our bellies
Have had to chuck out all my old bras bar 2 pair which are quickly reaching the end of their life span, looking forward to buying new ones
I can reach my heels to put cream on them, they've been cracked and ugly for a long time
I can comfortably wipe my behind, there was a time I worried I wouldn't be able to reach
My bathroom scales will now weigh me, when I started this journey they wouldn't, I was too heavy
I can put a few of my rings back on, I'd stopped wearing them because my fingers were too fat - love me bling
I can actually sleep on my back without struggling to breathe, previously belly fat was obstructing my lung's ability to expand
I've stopped snoring
Our grocery bill has halved
That's about it! | |

| * I had to bring my car seat abut 3 clicks closer to the steering wheel.... * Also I sit quite comfortably with my legs crossed now. * Loooooooooove going for walks now with da Tilly dog... She now comes home and has a sleep..... * Was walking up to street the other day, and looked over into the shop window, and saw my reflection. I got quite a shock, as I looked so much taller. * When I see my reflection in the mirror, I still look the same, in my eyes, but people are now constantly giving me compliments, which I am now accepting without feeling embaressed
Probably others, but cant think, as its time for a walk, da Tilly dog is going bonka's.
Life is great! | |

| So ... What are some of your Non-Scale Victories?!?
What are you able to do now that you haven't done before or haven't been able to do for a number of years?
Anything you've tried that you never thought possible??
Let's share our victories, no matter how big or small and celebrate our successes!! :)
