Hi Lioness,
well I started getting hip pain with TTOM in my 40s. So it might be that. But I agree that it might be that you have lost a lot of weight and their is not as much padding around your joints. I know that I have to roll over from side to side all night because my hips ache now when I am sleeping.

I'm about 9/10 weeks post op, not sure anymore, but i have noticed hip pain lately mostly after sitting down, like it aches and feels stiff when i start walking again. I'm hoping it's related to the fact i got my period yesterday, although i have never had this with a period before. Just hope its not permanent.

Less cushioning = less shock absorption!

Perhaps with tummy/thighs etc no longer being a physical restriction, there is a greater span of movement for legs etc than before - ie stretching muscles/moving joints past where they are used to?

So, I'm just over 6 months post-op and find my hips/legs hurt when being intimate with hubby.

Now now, don't think we're doing crazy acrobatics or anything but no matter what I/we do, the aches in my hips/upper legs won't go away.

I thought it might be due to my body changing shape after losing a fair amount of weight.

Does anyone else experience this?
