Hi Chris,

I had to get my GP to rewrite my letter as she wrote I was "at risk of developing life threatening health conditions" but the wording needs to be specific and say that I AM already suffering from a life threatening condition, which obesity is, in my opinion. She was happy to rewrite it and I was approved once I sent the new letter.

Good luck!

Just wondering what the gp wrote in your letters to get your super released for the surgery, my surgeon has put that it is a life the
threating illness and life saving surgery and its not available on the public health system, but the gp will only put potentially life threating, I'm not sure why I have a bmi of 51.3 and a family history
of heart desease and diabetes. What are my chances of getting it
released, cheers Chris.
