New to Gladstone have band want a sleeve

Hi everyone!

I am also in Gladstone 

Not yet sleeved, surgery date is 20th June and I started Opifast yesterday.

Dr Russell and his team are taking care of me and I have been really happy with every part of the experience so far.  Dedicated professionals who obviously keep up to date with their chosen areas of expertise.

Pretty excited knowing you guys are so close!

Hi Ladies,

How are you few years after being sleeved?
Did you loose a lot and kept it off?
Do we have any catch up's of sleevers in Gladstone or is there not enough people to do that?
I am just starting the journey and I only know one person who had the sleeve last year.

I'm in Gladstone and was sleeved by dr Russell in aug 2012.
I had a band but things went very bad so had that out.
I could not be happier with my sleeve. The difference between the two is amazing.
He explains everything really well and his team is great.

I was sleeved by Dr Russell on Monday, I found him to be awesome!! He talked me through every step, I always know what was happening and felt totally comfortable, and I have no complaints at all. Feel free to PM me if you want to chat.

Hi Deb and welcome

I am in Rockhampton and i was sleeved by Dr Andrew Russell at the Mater Hospital. If you do decide to see him YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED - he has a fantastic bedside manner. Dr Russell use to do lapbands but not anymore.

Where's Gladstone?

Hi i apologise in advance if this has been asked before BUT im new to the area & know no-one

im going to see Dr Nicole Andrews for a fill on the 2nd May, but apparently she doesnt do Sleeves. From day 1 i have struggled with my lap band (it was done at CBS melb, by Prof Paul O'Brien 21 Nov 2011).

im either over filled or under filled, i pb on a regular basis & have stopped losing weight, im finding it hard to get back on track & am hoping a visit to Dr Andrews for a fill will achieve that, but it scares the hell out of me an overfill - sometimes 0.1 is too much & other times 1.0 is not enough - there is NO happy medium

i am over the daily fight with my band & really want to find out about a sleeve, can anyone reccommend a surgeon for, i am going to ask Dr Andrews, but personal experience is always a better reccommendation i feel
