Hi Ree

I am 5 weeks 3 days out and I remember having the same pain on my left side about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Not really painful just annoying and crampy style, as you said more like a stitch.

Hope you are still going well looking forward to seeing you on the 2nd.

Thanks ladies

I ended up calling my surgeon, just to be save.

Little miss cee, you are right it's the nerve endings healing, I think I was doing too much to quickly too. The pain has pretty much gone now.

Jarrah, i am feeling chipper!

Have a great day!

I used to get a stitch like that at the start similar, but on my right side.

From memory I think it was something to do with the nerves having being severed in your stomach from surgery.

I often found I had this cramp like stitch if I got up or moved too quickly.

Try taking it easy as you're still healing, but if you're super concerned I would call your surgeon.

Hey Ree70
has your stitch settled down?? Here's hoping!
If it hasn't , it couldn't hurt to give your surgeon's office a call just to be sure :)
Hope you're feeling chipper!!

Hi everyone

I'm 2 weeks 3 days post op, everything is going well so far, I'm on puréed and slowly going to mushies.

The last few days I am getting this stitch like pain under my left rib cage area, it doesn't seem to be associated with when I eat, I don't have a temp or high heart rate or vomiting.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Ree
