| Gee, the price varies so much wiht one paying $9k and another paying $20K.
If it was only going to be about $9 my daughter was going to try and have it done sooner, bu6t $20K, though worth it, is out of their budget.
I appreciate you girls sharing this with me

Has anyone paid for it, if they did not have PHI

| This is great news.
I had my sleeve last October, and my daughter really needs help and I have paid for a year's PHI for her 40th birthday, but she still has to save for the gap, which is really hard as they are a family of 4 on a single income.

| Yes, I imagine it is probably going to be a slow process. Initially I thought I would love to ahve taken advantage of it myself, but then on the other hand it would have meant being morbidly obese and miserable for a few more years. Happy to have forked out for it. But will be great news for many who desperately need the op but haven't the means or only have limited funds. | |

| This is good news. However knowing the speed the gov moves I think I'll fork out the $$ for my op and hope it comes in soon so others can benefit that can't afford it. | |

| Came across this article in the Sydney Morning Herald this morning. Might be some good news coming for future bariatric surgery patients for affordability!
