Welcome Diamatti, you are in the right place for honest, warts and all info on this site, I have found it incredibly informative, supportive, practical and non-judgemental. Elle Cat

Welcome DIamatti, you will find plenty of support here, you really will find you are amongst friends. When you find out your sleeve date, there are groups for that month that you can join and that way you have people going on the journey at the same time.

Hi. I am a 41 yr old that is just waiting on approval of release of super funds to get my surgery date. So I should have my date in about 2 weeks!!! Though I am excited I am honestly terrified at the same time. I am having the sleeve done and I feel like I am psyching myself out worrying over whether I will be able to do everything right before and after my surgery. I have a 2 year old and she and my husband are the reasons I finally decided to think about myself and my health. I want to be with them for a long time and if I don't do something permanent about my weight, I will be gone way too soon. I reckon I just need someone to talk to about it and hopefully I can find that here. My husband is super supportive but I know he is getting tired of hearing about it, even though he would never say so. I don't have family here. I am from America and have only been on Australia for since mid 2009, so even my friends a sparse out here. Well i guess I will stop for now and hopefully hear from some of you!
Thanks!!!!!
