Hi Garfield
I am doing ok - have lost 10kgs since the bypass. I am still having some issues with the opening narrowing so am having regular day surgery to stretch it. Food wise I am getting there but it is a slow process. I am lucky - have not had dumpng syndrome and never get hungry - I eat by the clock otherwise I wouldn't bother. I have some issues with the texture of food - reluctant to try somethings because I am fearful of getting something stuck and or the pain starting. I just keep on trying and listen to my new tum. I was wondering if your hungry sensation is caused by reflux or is it head hunger? Keep up the good work!!
G So sorry you need ANOTHER procedure :-( A friend of mine's dad had that surgery to stretch it and is going great a year later so fingers crossed for you xoxo I am not sure if the hungry sensation is reflux... I haven't had any reflux issues since but I suppose taking the tablets won't hurt... I will try that tip :-) When are you have surgery next? I will keep a closer tabs!!

I have a sleeve but I am curious, why did you go from the sleeve to bypass? Only had the sleeve for 3wks and developed a bowel blockage/kink and they had to perform emergency bypass to correct it. They have tried alternative methods in the past but they either haven't worked or people have died from it, so they felt this was the safest way. In a way I am glad as I started to develop severe reflux with the sleeve which I never had before, even with the band.

- Hi Moderaors
Thanks for creating this thread for those of us who have had a bypass after being sleeved or banded. Hopefully this will become a great resource like the rest of this site.

| Hi Tracy
I had lots of complictions following the sleeve surgery and the bypass was done as a corrective procedure. The whole story is in my diary if you are interested in reading - under glenmaree's diary.

| Hey Glenmaree, how you going?
I am finally getting the hang of this thing! I suppose I didn't have the sleeve for very long so didn't have time to get used to it all but it's getting better.
Weight loss has slowed down so having to make more effort to keep it going. Also have to strictly watch my sugar intake as can get dumping very easily which is horrible!! I do think my portion sizes seem to be quite big and I feel hungry easily which is something I didn't think I would get (boo!!)
