| Hi Kaz! Whoo hoo! Way to go! I am having my band removed soon also with a 3 month wait for the sleeve. I am terrified of further weight gain, but that's just the way it goes, I reckon.
This is a great site, I find everybody so helpful and informative. I'm not gonna wish you good luck for the surgery, because there's no luck involved, rather, it's determination on your part And skill on the doc's.You'll FLY through! :) | |

| Hi everyone, I'm Kaz. I stumbled onto this site today, and am feeling very greatful that I did. I think it is going to be an invaluable resource for me, and I hope I can contribute to you all too. I was banded over four years ago, and hated it. I constantly threw up my food, and the pain I had while eating was intolerable. I had my band removed, by my wonderful, (and cute) surgeon, Adam Skidmore, in April this year. I had to wait 6 months to allow my body to heal before having revisional surgery. Removing the band took around double the time it should have due to it being stuck to my liver. It was a messy op, and took a few days to recover in hospital. Well, finally the time has come for my revisional surgery. I will be having a banded sleeve on October 16th. I am so excited. I was told I would gain weight after the band was removed, and I have. I gained around 7 kilos, and feel pretty fat and horrible right now. I am 101kg and only 161cm (or around 5' 3), so I am looking forward to having the surgery and getting back on track with my weight loss. Looking forward to meeting you all, Kaz | |
