| Thanks for reply ladies! Yes another FAD As I have severe depressive episodes I'd worry about The low calorie intake.
Kate- the idea of the hCG shots is to make the Body release the fat stores from your body thereby If you've had 500 cals but need 1200 your body uses 700 cals of fat stores!
As there are no definitive studies I'm a little concerned. Gold Coast clinic is calling for people to participate in research.
I think at the end of the day the sleeve is my true option. | |

| i tried the HCG Diet
I was given HCG drops to take sublingually, i didnt have shots. i tried the four week program, two weeks of controlled eating, using the drops and a 500 cal a day eating program. my eating program was about 580 calories per day as i had an extra apple a day at breakfast. After the two weeks of drops were done i did two weeks of eating at 1200 calories.
For the time i was on the program it did work, however, at the end i couldnt sustain it. i began to overeat once again. i would say this as well, anybody predisposed to depression i personally wouldnt recommend it. the severely controlled carb intake is so very low that the brain neurotransmitters can drop causing a depression bout. This is what did happen to me.
As you can see i still ended up having the sleeve, and like most diets that i tried before, most of the weight i did lose with the HCG program found its way back again.

| Is this the one Melinda?? "hCG stands for Human Choriogonadotropin, the hormone produced by pregnant women in the early stages of pregnancy. Research suggests a small, daily hCG injection (approx. 125 IU to 200 IU) results in a weight loss of 1 to 2 lbs per day, and often more, when accompanied by a VLCD (very low calorie diet of apprx 500 calories)." 500 cals is starvation mode or thats what Ive been continually told! Weve all been on these 'fad" diets dont we all just regain after we come off them? Or is this different? K | |

| Yeah it's extreme to say the lest! Now hubby is in on the act. Would like me to exhaust all options. I thought I'd already done that! The Medium believed I'm in such a happy spot now That I'm trying to sabotage 'something'! Anyway I still want to have surgery. Just don't like how 'a quick fix' was mentioned
