I agree with you, Dr Kow is a lovely lady. Just the lapband was a waste of time for us.

As far as the Gastric Sleeve I now have, it has been wonderful! I have lost 28kg and feel great! I am happy that you went with the sleeve! My daughter is now waiting for her sleeve now as she has seen how successful it has been over the lapband.

Well done too you on your weight loss! Excellent effort!

I just wanted to pop back and update about my experience with Dr Kow.
What a wonderful, kind, beautiful woman. Very easy to get along with, easy to understand, explains things thoroughly and you can tell she really cares about her patients, great bedside manner. I was in hospital for just over a week and she was there Monday through Sunday.

I highly recommend her.

Lillian Kow did my gastric band 2 yrs ago. It was the most single waste of time I have ever wasted! Don't bother. It is a $$ making scheme for her. Aftervall the surgery was done a two follow ups initiated by myself, no follow up by her at all. Both my daughter and I had the surgery and she is still overweight. It has not worked for either of us. I have now had the band removed and Gadtric Sleeve done. I have lost 13kgs already in 2.5 weeks! Whoo Hoo!
Do yourselff a favor...... Get the Gastric Sleeve! I wasted $3000 on a Lapband...don't waste your money! Caz xx

You are probably right, you wouldn't be able to do all the travelling needed with fills and unfills. Terrible if you got home to Alice and found you were too tight!

A band may be her preference, but I probably got a yes because I am an interstate patient. Im not able to be banded because I have to travel from Alice Springs and there is no one here qualified to look after the band. It would be too much travel time.

Dr Kow did her best to convince me not to have a sleeve! Not sure why you got yes and I got a no. She banded me.

She operates out of Flinders Private hospital, I had my initial consultation last month and have my surgery booked in for the 7th December. I have to travel interstate for it.
