| Well Comet, Let me say this OMG!!!!!!!! You updated your ticker. 69.5 KILOS That is an absolutely outstanding achievement. Nearly half way through your journey. Thanks Sassy mum, I know its a great idea but with a big family who have no weight issues it makes life a bit hard to not bring in or cook some of their favorite foods. Juls | |

| There are Somethings I JUST CANNOT ALLOW IN MY HOUSE (so I don't buy them ... ever. ... sometimes this is the only way to deal with mindless eating. If it's not around - it don't go down. Hang in there, your progress has been astonishing. hugs sassysmum | |

| You are all such wonderful support. And you are all right I do need to not let my mind sabotage how far I have come. I have just emailed a counsellor and I will beat this mindless urge to eat. I dont even notice eating them a lot of the time, it is just crazy, I just disassociate and dont even enjoy them Thanks again | |

| Hey Comet, first and foremost CONGRATULATIONS You have lost so much wieght since January. 49 kilos. You should be feeling so proud of yourself. Yes I agree that chips do go down so easy and I wont admit to twisties either. haha It could be emotional eating. I know the way my head is continually moving within this journey. Food too has become a bit of a drag for me, getting sick of the same things all the time but Im slowing expanding the range. I have finally realised the small amount I can have so it sits better in my mind and my tummy. Maybe its the salt your loving too. try having a small handful of almonds or cashews. They have protien so that helps with the weightloss. Or have a drink of water first then see how you feel about those chips. What about a walk first too. Maybe around your yard or up the street as it will help you take your mind of whatever your emotions are trying to tell you. That is what Ive started to do when Im after my beloved chocolate. Im now starting to get a bit annoyed when I havent had a walk or ride. hahah Im getting the endorphins hit instead of choccy. And it clears the mind. helps me to think You are now 1/3 of the way through your journey. Be Proud of yourself. Well done Juls | |

| Hi Comet, I agree with middlewoman and Gotta, yummy chips will disolve to ziltch. Check what else you're eating, get a KJ counter to get back on track, allow yourself a packet once a week - have a treat day. You have done so well, almost a whole normal person (and deffs a whole skinny one!). The counsellor idea is a good one - can you use a workplace one? Maybe a buddy? Keep it going honey - chips won't win you will, a little bit at a time. Good luck xoxox Pippa | |

| Oh, comet, sorry to hear you are struggling with this. It does sound like emotional eating for which you might need to see a counsellor. When did you last see your surgeon and dietitian? It concerns me that you 'have trouble eating most foods'. Is this a physical issue. ie. you just can't handle certain foods? Or is it the taste of the foods you cannot face? Chips are sure to go down easily as they taste nice, and crunch down to nothing. But you and I both know they are not a safe choice yet! You have gone to such great lengths to regain your health and it would be awful to start undermining yourself. Most of us do this to a greater or lesser degree. Is there some way you could minimise the quantity or frequency of such treats? I really feel for you, comet, and wish you the very best in overcoming this hurdle. Your progress is fantastic so far. | Buy TINY packs that are baked, rather than fried, and limit them to once or twice a week.
Eating a LITTLE of what you like is the key! | |

| I have trouble eating most foods but unfortunately I find packets of chips go down so easily and I have been eating a packet a day. It is the emotional eating of old. Does anyone else have this problem or any advice? | |
