Thats what I did- wrote to them saying we have no other means of paying for the surgery, and the reasons why. If you can make it sound desperate (but be able to prove it if you had to)- then it gives it more weighting I guess. Explain everything- it gives you the chance to add additional information so thts where I put it then.

I didnt factor in the tax- I allowed $10 000 and thats what I got in my account. They took the tax out of the remaining super- I think it was about $2000? But that was with my super account so check with yours like Mel said.

Good luck, I remember being very nervous and very anxious while waiting. Its hard.

When they told me I was approved I was in a work car and sat and cried in it for 30 minutes!!!!! It was that moment that I realised that the surgery would go ahead for me. Big moment!

i released hubbys and yes you right your name ,as the money is for you and you are his dependant .

I believe so- because you are his dependant....and youre filling out the forms in his name.

So im going to say yes.

If there is a phone number, maybe give them a call in the morning- I found them really helpful.

im filling out the form in my husbands name of course.

Then i get to question 30 it says

For each dependant who has applied to APRA for early release or is applying with you now, please provide their name....

Would i write my name so they know the money is for treating me?

Over it, I went through in June of this year. I used my super not my partners.
