| Thank you Trish n Angel. the dietitian said the same thing to slow down n enjoy each mouthful. Guess old habits are hard to break. It been just a month since the op. I have a couple of good days, since Ive taken a step back and stuck to soft food 100% Little scared cause im back to work Wednesday | |

| Good advice from our Angel and as she said this is common at your stage... as she said...get a saucer from a tea cup set, which is much smaller than a bread and butter plate and plate it up in a mini fashion as you would a normal dinner...as in leaving space round the edges etc.
Get a quarter cup measure and measure your foods into this. And go back to more sloppier foods as she suggested or have a sauce with your foods.
At this stage scrambled eggs are very difficult to get down for most of us so try a poached egg instead ...with maybe some marta or hollendaise sauce.
Often you will find its only a week or two before this side effect will subside but in the mean time you are getting your eye used to the portion sizes your tummy needs while you measure everything.
It does get easier. | |

| chrissy i had the same issue as you for the first few months and its just a matter of learning what the body can handle - and u will
i am over 6mths out now and every once in awhile it still happens
usually for me its roast pork/beef - the high fat content and the density of the meat just doesnt sit right either that or i scoff cos its sooooooo good lol
try the silverside etc which shreds so easy to get down (when u get there)
with the egg, yes i had reallyyyy runny egg first with egg though it is heavy and even now just one egg is all ya need
slow and steady wins the race, u have the rest of your life to eat normal, use this stage to stay low on your portions - use a side plate and halve it... if ur head gets used to that now u will have success for a long time x

| Ive found Ive thrown up a few times in the last 2.5wks since my sleeve, so far, Ive been lucky and it hasn't hurt to do. seems as soon as my tum has the food/excess out its happy again, haven't really figured out my limits completely, usually its a case of one mouthful to many. Had an issue where over the weekend, I tried scrabbled egg for dinner, and well that just didn't sit at all. came right back up, haven't tried it again yet. I love eggs. so wont be long and ill try again. | |

| hiya
well i am one of those who upchuck, but in the dozen or so times i have brought it up - only one was a violent throw up. most the time its oops, run and it just sort like spills out. Esp if drink water too fast, and was in the stage from softs to solids. think body was still tight in healin
or if i drink and eat within the same 10 mins.. my body just doesnt like it lol
but yes its about learning ur limits and unfortunately for me it changes daily. But i have started to get hiccups when i eat or drink too fast lol..
it doesnt bother me about the regurge, rather it out than stretch the sleeve

| One of my goals - was to get through the first 12months without throwing up - so far so good but I learned really quickly to listen to my new tum - when it says enough I listen and sometimes don't even swallow what is in my mouth. Everyone is different - just be thankful you are doing so well | |

| I have not thrown up either yet where others in my month are regular upchuckers... I wondered if it was that they had teeny sleeves and min is a 34 loose wrap... does your head in sometimes this sleeve size thing. |

| I am 7 1/2 months out and I have never thrown up. It's not weird at all, everyone is just different and our bodies all have different warning signals when we are full. Learning what your full warning signal is is the tricky part I think. | |
