| janette - from a size 26 to a size 10>>???? thats amazing!!!
there is hope for me yet!! one thing i have to ask if you dont mind is - would u be a size 10 if u didnt have the surgery (plastic) or would u have been a size 12 because of the loose skin etc.
I doubt i will get to a size 10 - even in my busy high school days and of sport i was a size 14!
must be bone structure - i am 5'9 and large boned omg a size 10 my family would say i was anorexic lol

| The stories are great and such a wonderful achievement. I am just starting to be able to get into 'regular' sizes at Kmart, BigW etc. looking forward to checking out some of the other places that I haven't set foot in for years like Jays Jays, Jeans West and pretty much any other shops that DOESN'T do larger sizes. I'm going to Melbourne during the holidays so hoping to fit in a little shopping, our hotel is near DFO. Woo hoooooooo | |

| I agree on the shopping.
Going from a size 26 to a size 10 has made shopping for clothes a breeze now, and so cheap!
The funny thing is I still often end up in the big girls section.......LOL!!

| Well done Huggy Bear. Great achievement! - Huggy Bear wrote:

I used to only buy size 24 clothes from the plus size section of Myer. I was so ashamed of how big I had gotten that I thought I could at least disguise some of my bulk in Maggie T and Susan Blake labels. They were always cut very well and aimed to be 'flattering'....
I used to spend at least $250 on an outfit. That is one top and one skirt OR pair of pants. It was a huge outlay.
Now, at a size 12 I can buy a whole outfit for often $25!!! Yes, often it is K-Mart or Target but the clothes look great as I am not trying to hide anything.
It is disgraceful to think about how much I used to spend and I would still come home devastated to be wearing almost the top size in the plus size section.
Love love love my sleeve and love love love my tummy tuck. Life just gets better and better....

| glenmaree, that's funny.
when I was in hospital in Mildura (Jan2012) I had no clothes etc. My mum who arrived to take me home had to go to an op shop to get me some. she came back with the 'only' clothes that would fit me. Clothes in the style that she wears. I gave her the skirt but still have the top as it has buttons and is easy to get on and off. lol. I look forward to the day I can wear fashionable clothing

| I did a dance in Millers today, much to the amusement of my mother aged 84, when I realised that I now fit into the Millers size 22 - then - I watched as it dawned on her that she wears the same size - just too funny And to end the day - my Millers card that I haven't used for years and years still worked. | |

| My bras can no longer house a third world family in the cups, and my clothes line no longer looks like The Black Pearl in full sail with my big black knickers!
My skinny little size 10 knickers share the line with my twin daughters' tiny strips of cloth.
LOVE black lace! | |

| well done guys. i bet you save money too and of course have alot more choice. Rarely can I find bigger size clothes that fit me, I am smaller at top then bottom and since my arms got fat finding tops is hard. oh well, its ok. Mum and I saw a nice red dress size 16 the other day and I said to Mum that I should be able to fit into that type of dress by christmas, maybe smaller. | |

| I brought my first size 18 pair of pants this week, instead of the size 26 that I would of brought just a short 5 months ago, and im still so wrapped just to think i am now so close to buying "normal" people sized clothes.

| No J it's not lame. During the floods my daughter and granddaughter stayed with us for 3 weeks and it really made my clothes size difference hit home. I could never find any of my clothes when I was getting dressed (I don't have much to choose from either) and realised that I thought my clothes were hers. I'm still looking for the parachute and tent sized clothing. | |

| Me too!
I love that I can just buy size 12 off the rack (down from size 24). I rarely try stuff on as I know it will fit.
Love, love, love it!

| I posted this in my diary then thought I would copy it to here to see what other differences everyone has noticed now when they go shopping.
Yesterday I bought a light weight jumper from Suzanne Grae and when the lady handed me the bag I thought she must have given me the wrong one. It's the littlest bag and she must have thought I was nuts because I was smiling like an idiot as I left the shop. I couldn't help but think that pre sleeve I don't even think my granny knickers would have fit in this bag, no matter how tight they were rolled up. ROFL.
