| lol! This is a thread any bloke would be proud of!
I would have PAID to fart in hospital and I'd have been mighty jealous of any trumpet-bum around! I ended up backed-up to 1974!
Let 'em rip and enjoy, I say!!

| Hilarious!! You have given me a good giggle after a crappy day.
Definately let them go in hospital. I did. I have sleep apnea so I have air being blown into me all night so I am the same in the morning. Nothing better than a good long hard fart to start the morning..... I just hope they dont keep happening like mine do.
Mind you I did only fart when my curtains were closed. Everybody farts and always will make someone smile lol

...OMG I think we grew up in the same house... it made me smile when I read that.... good times...good times. Seriously though Lizzy anyone who says they dont enjoy a good fart is a blatant liar. I even enjoy my husbands (not the stink the sound) ... because you know your truely comfortable with someone when they fart in front of you....silly as this is I remeber the first time he farted in front of me as clear as the first time we kissed ( we were 16) Let em go wild and free sweety... I was in hospital a year ago and across the hall from me there were in private rooms each 2 old men and an old lady. on this one morning the nurse was in my room doing obs and out of one room came a buggeling fart.... from the next room came an equally ripping responce followed by a tooter from room three... the nurse smiled and said ..."sounds like moose mating season in this place" So my little chicklet... cut the cheese....toot..rip one off.. tear the sheets..sound the buggle..blast the trumpet..play the bumhole tuba.. tread on a duck.. let fluffy off the chain...bum burp...hollar through ole chocolate lips..drop your guts..drop a woofer..let loose the great brown cloud. and just remember, a fart is nothing but the lonely cry of an imprisoned turd. |

| Oh this does make me laugh and brings back some funny memories. My Dad was the loudest longest farter I know. When we were kids he always did the "pull my finger" trick and we would be in fits of laughter as he would lift a leg for extra effect, much to my mothers disgust. I swear he could change key about 3 times in the one very long and loud fart. Yes, I did seem to inherit this from him but thankfully I also have the deadly but silent ones as well. These are the ones that my brother says "I would be proud if I did that" lol, I guess it's a boy thing. I agree with Carebear.......ask for a private room, but I'm quite sure that doctors and nurses have heard it all. The ones that used to care for my Dad certainly would have anyways. | |

| Ye, apple cider vinegar is good for digestive health, --> BUT be careful with your new tummy as it is acidic and could act as an irritant for the suture line. I was using before sleeve am using it now (DILUTED). I stopped for 2 months though until my tummy was fully healed and okayed by my surgeon. Please check with your surgeon first.
In the interests of public health and your own dignity I'd be insisting on a single room in hospital!

| SERIOUS answer now!
DeGas tablets from the chemist may help, as will charcoal tablets. My ex hubby had REALLY bad breath, and he used to fart a lot! A Naturopath suggested apple cider vinegar. 1 tablespoon full every morning. (Hubby used to have it in juice) It seemed to help, and cleaned him out too!
