| Sarah is right Marg, Lasix is safe to stop in one hit no need to wean off them.

| Hi Margd, You don't need to slowly decrease the dose of lasix like you do with some other drugs. Some people just take one or two lasix as they need them - you don't need to wean off them, you can simply stop taking them (under Doctor's advice of course)! Sarah | |

| Mandy sorry to keep asking questions, did you gradually come of them like cutting down to 1/2 then 1/4 before you actually stop them,oh dear the joys of not taking medication. | |

| Hi Margd,
I was on lasix for years and i still would swell up so much so my legs would actually blister with excess fluid, now just 3 short months after the sleeve no lasix and no swelling, just one of the many reasons i love my sleeve.

| Hi margd I had trouble with fluid retention for years especially hot weather or on long flights. Tried to avoid taking lasix on a permanent basis but did use it when it felt as though the skin on my legs would burst.
The last lasix I had was after a flight a week before my sleeve. I was sleeved in June and so far so good. We haven't had a hot summer but normally my legs would have been affected and our next flight isn't until July so it remains to be seen what will happen then.
In summer I could only wear sandals and my feet would ooze through the straps, this year my shoes are a sloppy fit and I am delighted
