| Hi Kate and welcome to the forum. There seems to be quite a few Kate's on here now. Your surgery date will come around fast and be here before you know it. Maybe head on over to the February Sleevers thread and you will meet others being sleeved at a similar time to you. Good luck and keep us posted of your progress.

Im also from the Gold Coast and im booked to have the sleeve done on Valentines day!! Im more than excited! I had a previous band in 2005 and hates it! It was so painful all the time! I wish I had done the Sleeve first and then the last 6 years may of had a better outcome!
Im so excited for u too! Beggining this journey with so many people to now learn from is encouraging!

| Welcome Ange to this fabulous and informative forum.
I am a Gastric bander, but have opted to have my Band out on Monday, and start a new life in 8 weeks with the sleeve.
Good luck with your appointment with Dr Nolan, he has a fabulous reputation, and is excellent surgeon.

| Hi All
Just thought I would intro myself and say what a great forum this is. I've been looking for a while and have decided to go ahead with my sleeve and wanted to join officially.
I'm want to have my surgery with Dr Greg Nolan at Southport so have my first appt soon to start the ball rollling. Hope I won't have to wait too long for my op as now that I've decided I just want to do it.
Everyone here seems to be pleased and not looking back which is comforting.
Look forward to joining in more officially. Yeah!
