One more month until sleeve!

You can do it. Think about it, you make it through the Christmas and New Year period being focused on the surgery, you can do anything.

Well done, getting on top of your weight at a young age. Being young, I am sure your body will bounce back very easily.

Thank you everyone. I can't believe how kind you all are.
I'll post in the January one too, and I will probably start a diary once I figure out what to say.
I'm very grateful for this surgery, I cannot wait to have it. And I am a 'young un' so I'm hoping to bounce back pretty quickly :) hopefully... Fingers crossed!

Welcome Sweetie! There are a lot of 'young uns' in here. You are lucky to be doing this now, rather than later! Well done!

Hi Amanda and welcome to the site. You will find loads of info, opinions and most importantly friendly support. I agree with Jaime, start a diary and it is amazing how soon you notice a difference when reading it back. It's a great way to keep track of your journey. Good luck with your surgery in January.

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and so far I'm loving it!
My name is Amanda and I'm a 23 year old mother of 1. Im from northern SA and have loads of support here from friends and now family who have had the sleeve. I've been overweight since my early teens and after trying every diet you can name, and failing them all I decided to try something new. After talking to a friend who had the sleeve I realized just how common, affordable (I'm a single mum) and perfect it is. I understand it's not the easy way out but im looking forward to it!
My goal is 70kg, and if I can get down to the low 60's I'd be stoked!
My surgery is on the 16th of Jan and I'm on the pre op diet, and struggling lol
It is a challenge getting through the festive season but I'm losing weight so I must be doing something right :)
I'm looking forward to being a regular poster, and can't wait until its my turn to put my before and after pics up!
