| The doc could've told you that he took samples in recovery. Theb you would hve known what was going on.
Glad everything is ok. | |

| well I had my final pre-op appointment on monday and I told the surgeon about the pain I had all week and thought I'd let others know. The surgeon doing the endoscopy thought that some of my stomach looked very inflamed and decided to take some samples for biopsy. He took 5 samples in all, that would be why I felt that pain, just the raw wounds healing. At least it was nothig major:) | |

| Thanks for the advice:)
It seems to have gone away, didn't notice any pain or have any uncomfortable feelings yesterday. I'm on a mine at the moment so spoke to the medic about it, she didn't seem to think it was too big of a deal and hopefully its gone away on its own.
I have my 2nd appointment with surgeon on Monday so I will ask him about it when I see him then, just to make sure it isnt anything to worry about.

| Hopefully by now you have rung your surgeon to at least tell him about it. I have heard of this happening, all I can say is ask the question with the doc, eithr surgeon or gp.
Hope you get relief soon and an explanation.

| Sounds like you need to speak to the surgeon again. Could be reflux or Gall bladder. Or could be something else entirely.

| Gosh life is busy, havent managed to get on here for a couple of weeks and so many new posts to get through!
Anyways getting onto my problem.... On Tuesday (now 7 days ago) I had my endoscopy. Went in there no worries, passed out, woke up in recovery to tea and sandwitches:) Was told that I had an ulcer at the bottom of my esophogeous (spelling??) and quizzed on if I'd had reflux, nope. Aparently its not uncommon to have no reflux. Apart from that all good and well. Went home and had some lunch (endoscopy was early morning), felt a bit uncomfortable but after that procedure I thought hey not a big deal. Its a week later and I'm still feeling uncomfortable, feels like right under my breastbone. Usully when I'm hungry or just after eating or sometimes at night it has woken me up, feels like someone is continually squeezing and relaxing what must be the bottom of my esophogeous, usually for a couple mins then gone again. Have had a couple of painful ones that feel like a shooting pain between that same section and my spine, havent had that too often though.
Has anyone else had this and if so what was the outcome? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks Bast | |
