well done Jag - I agree it's the best op out there.
And thumbs up to hubby for keeping you motivated - mine is really happy now, almost a year on he calls me skinny - aww.
Eating gets easier after a few weeks just take it really gently - it's tempting to see just what you can cope with but following your dieticians advice is the best.
Good luck with the rest of your journey and big hugs xoxox

Well done Jag. Sounds like you're going great guns!!! Keep up the good work. Bet it made your day when your husband told you that HAPPY HAPPY!! 542174

It's nice to hear people's stories straight after the surgery, especially when it's getting so close now (I'm 12th October).

Keep us posted.

yay Jag great news! I don't think he has the best bedside manner!!! but he did a great job of my sleeve too and I am thrilled that really apart from reflux I am 100% I started exercise after two weeks - and feel fab My incisions were tiny! and I reckon in a couple of years they will be un noticeable ( I am a bad healer) Take it easy and look after yourself :)

Well I made it.Fifth day after surgery and I am sooooo happy!

On Tuesday surgery was a text book case.Thank You John Fleischl, you are my hero.

70mins and all done.

Bit of nausea and achey in tum diring revcovery but nurses dealt to it fast. All ok 20mins later.

Slept like you wouldnt believe(on my back)for next 24hrs.

Up and moving Wednesday to shower and toilet.

No obvious pain, just discomfort in upper tum but pethadine pump dealt with that!!

Thursday morning had leak test and xray.No probs.

Thursday 12pm HOME!!!!!!!with paracetamol elixir(YUK)

Now Sunday.back on Optifast shakes.Made some vege puree/liquid but 2 tsps was all I could handle.Carrots dont blend too good.Felt it sitting. Will leave til next week.

Drinking coffee(yum)diet cordial, water.Going to try some pumpkin soup tonite.

I know I am one of the lucky ones with the no pain etc but I would certainly recommend this op.Especially when 5 days down the track my darling husband tells me my bum looks smaller! That is worth its weight in gold!

PS 12kgs down.
