| Thanks Kate,
I've just been eating when I'm hungry, which I'm sad to say is becoming a much more frequent thing. I thought that feeling would never come back, but it has, and it's still strong, just placated with less food. I'm aiming for 3 high protein meals a day and lots of water in between. Sometime might have a bit of yoghurt for MT/AT if needed.
Thinking about it, I may have rushed a bit at lunch, because I was so busy, as I had the same thing for dinner and I feel fine (honey mustard chicken tonight + zucchini, tomato and mushroom + protein powder, pureed).

| I had another thought Mandy. Maybe change how many meals a day you are having. I don't know how many your having but maybe have more smaller meals or less, whichever is opposite to what your doing now. Maybe a little change might help. When I saw the Doctor post op he said just eat when your hungry and not to stress about how many meals you have a day. Hope you get it sorted soon mate, thinking of you. | |

| Thanks for the support and kind words gals. I figured I wouldn't be the only one experiencing this. Seems this is the first hurdle for me, its been smooth sailing up to this point. I was so bloated and yuck this afternoon. Tummy pains galore. I left work early to come home and rest and the pains went away after a while (probably wind pains as well). Tummy has been grumbling for food for the past 10min so I'm going to have dinner shortly. See how it goes! | |

| Oh, hey, I was the queen of this when I was first done, so you guys are definitely not alone. If you're portioning out half a cup, try making it a third again for a while, and see how you feel after that. Make sure you're chewing everything a lot - more than a lot - even on mushies! When I was only a few weeks out, I could only have a few teaspoons of food before I got up to spew... Best of luck to you both. And YES, it does get better! | |

| Hi Synna.... Im having the same problem/feelings.. and ive just gone 5wks out.
3 or so teaspoons slowly and ughh.. I dont have an answer, but seeing surgeon for another follow up next Fri so shall ask him. He seemed to think I'd be on soft foods now.. gosh no way. So Im going to just take my time. Its just an icky feeling and like you, Im hoping it all gets better soon. I had some mild curry hubby made and that was ok, and having egg, tried finely diced up chicken and veg but felt horrible. I just feel i'd rather stick to the puree and smoothies for now so i dont get that horrid full feeling coming up.

| It gets better, don't worry! I never had that full trigger on liquids or mushies either. It kicked in when i went onto solid food though. It also takes a while to get used to your new tiny tummy and the portions that it can take. Don't despair, it's very very early days and things improve exponentially after the first few weeks of healing :)
Good luck with your exciting journey!

| Hey Sleeve Twin
Sorry to hear you are having problems. Maybe it's a bit of reflux do you think? I'm sure someone else on here who has had it will be able to tell you the symptoms. Hope you feel better soon.

| Ok. So I'm 3 and bit weeks out, on purees. Bored of them. But. I portion out half a cup, slowly eat over 30min and I'm having trouble recognising when I'm full. I go straight to 'OMG im so full I feel like I'm going to be sick'. I can't seem to sense when I'm full. It's gotta be past full until I can feel it. I'm not even getting through half a cup now.
I'm taking my time, eating about a quarter of a teaspoon a bite, over the 30min.... its frustrating. I'm not vomiting, so I'm not overdoing it that much.
Please tell me it gets better or what I'm doing wrong.
