| Had my appointment with dr. Epari today and was really impressed with him, his manner, and his willingness to answer all questions. I didn't have that many, as I've done a lot of research, but was happy he was willing to give me all the time I needed. I am on optifast until further notice. He wants me to lose 15kg before surgery. As well as how much you weigh he said he bases his decision about optifast on where you carry your weight. Mine is all on my torso. I weighed 132.2 in his office today. My highest was 144, maybe a bit more. | |

| HI Achara you won't regret it he is very easy to talk to and is partner of Dr Alan Thomas too they are both great surgeons. They deal with a lot more difficult scenarios than sleeve operations...
MAke sure you have a lll the questions you want to ask him written down and go through them all. Much better to have them written then you won't forget.
Good Luck with the Apptm... I am heading back to him next week too for a follow up. | |

| I have an appointment with dr. Epari next Thursday. I am very very nervous but have only read good things about him. Picking a surgeon is so hard. I've never had a general anesthetic before and am quite terrified but think this is the right decision for me. | |

| Hi ALexina, i will get all my receipts together and itemise it for you. all up it was about $4,200 off hand... for me.. i have top cover.. $3000 out of pocket for Dr Epari anaethetist was approx $1500 of which i will get about half of that back + the actual apptmts costs... and dietitian too was extra again some i can claim some of it back... Will PM you the charge list. My hospital was stay was all covered so you will have to check out those costs.. Dr Epari is very very easy to chat with and can answer any questions... For a statistic he has had no complications with any sleeve he has performed which is pretty good in my book!
Good Luck | |

| provide me with his charges. I have a friend who is looking for recomendations for a surgeon and hers is going to be self funded so it is more a cost option as well as having a great surgeon. Thanks. | |

| Great Doctor! Easy to talk with and his staff are good too. I was really nervous on th op day and the anaesthetist was fantastic too. So far so good.. I go back in about 2 weeks for check up. No drains with Epari and no optifast for me either... Not sure if it is the same for all patients though He works with Dr Thomas who i believe is also a fantastic surgeon to go with. There is a wait time to see them so you need to book at least a couple of weeks in advance. Sometimes up to a month. I was very lucky and managed to get one because of a cancellation. I believe this is one of the best decisions i have made... No regrets! I am looking forward to the weight coming off.!!
