| Hi Catherine,
I went with my mother to get her fill and we asked some questions to the new person whom does the fills at Joondalup. Apparently Dolan isn't at Joondalup anymore and doesn't really do very many sleeves, but mainly still does the bands.
I'm sticking to Alan Thomas anyway, I get my band removed not this week but the following.

| An extremely terse, blunt man. Did not attend after my lap band in or lap band out, but sent his registrar.
Nice if you are losing weight, but if you are not......
Seems to be a competent surgeon. I had no issues with the surgeries.
PM me if you want to ask any questions. | |

| Hi Kath,
I'm still sticking with my appointment with Alan Thomas on the 29th of August because atleast he know's a bit about my personal situation as well as he's got a lot of experience and sound's like a pretty nice guy.
Will let you all know how it goes.
Thanks
Emma :) | |

| Hey Emma,
Im not sure about Dr Dolan, but personally I would stick to Alan Thomas, as he apparently has the most experience with lap band to sleeve revisions. I believe even experinced surgeons like John Armstrong will send their difficult cases for Alan to do.
So if you do have any stomach/scar tissue problems he would be the best choice. He will take your band out really cheaply....I think it costs me only about $300 out of pocket and he then prepares your stomach, so after 3 months rest it is ready for the sleeve surgery.
At least still see him and see how comfortable you feel with him. Then maybe see Dolan and ask how many sleeves he has done, especially post band. It never hurts to get a couple of opinions.
Good luck,
Love Cath x | |

| Hi all, I currently have a band (9/3/2010 by Kevin Dolan) although am considering getting it removed. My mother just rang his offices to make an appointment for a fill (she has a band too) and while she was at it she asked if he did Gastric Sleeving, the receptionist said 'Yes' I was under the impression he only did Lap-Bands? Maybe this is a new thing he's doing? Anyone ever been sleeved by him? Thanking you Emma | |
