| Thanks Lostgurl....so looking forward to this new person a year from now! I miss her sooooo much. Thanks Meghan.... and CONGRATS!! awesome :) Thankyou Gail.... I will be going to Calvery Hosp and my surgeon is Dr D'Onofrio who is also in North Adelaide. My friend recommended him, she was sleeved just over a year ago. I feel very comfortable with him and his staff.. couldnt speak highly enough of them :) Gail the next time you organize a morning coffee meet up for Adelaide people... I'd love to come along too! xx | |

| Hi and welcome, The next month will go so fast you will wonder where the time went !! I am almost 2 years out and at 52 know that this was the best thing I have ever done for myself. If you need some local support just yell. What hospital are you in and what surgeon do you have. Hugs Gail | |

| Hi all, So very glad I found this forum. I have been reading for a while and recently joined. My surgery date for the Sleeve is August 5th! (after doing the 12mth PHI wait!) I am in Adelaide and had my final appt. with the Surgeon early this week, bloods today and start Opti end of next week. My story and emotional journey are similar to everyone. I am so tired of it all, being 47 and having up n down weight loss/gain, up and down emotions.. arghhhh! ...for 20yrs :((( I just want to live my life instead of watching other people live and enjoy theirs. And now at my age I am so so scared of an early death. So now it's onward and upward, I'm feeling very nervous and excited. In the beginning I wasn't going to tell many, but as time went on in the wait, I slowly starting telling a couple of close family/friends, and have had wonderful support already :))) My bag is already nearly packed lol.. I told the surgeon this..and leant over his desk as i sat in his office and said....'1 month, 1 week, 1 day!'.... he smiled a big smile! Love Health n Happiness! Looking forward to sharing the journey xx | |
