It's fantastic to get these updates, especially for those of us just in the first couple of months of our new life. Thanks for the encouragement, you have done so well. Especially good to hear that you've kicked the CPAP machine, I'm looking forward to that too.

| It’s exactly 52 weeks since my surgery and I thought I’d mark my first “birthday” with a catchup. As I’ve mentioned before I’ve had a dream run the last 12 months. Apart from a couple of plateaux the weight just kept dropping off until I reached just beyond goal of 89kg - a total loss of 38kg. My health has improved beyond expectations. Blood glucose well within normal range, lipids at levels I never thought I’d see again and I’ve not used my CPAP machine since surgery. Mostly however I feel just so bloody good!
I’ve had to replace all my clothes - some more than once, which is just the best feeling. My wife and I love to walk and now I'm the one who has to stop and wait for her to catch up.
I'm now in the situation where I can eat what I want and drink what I want within reason. Like many before me I just wish I had done it sooner.
