| Once again I do not have this condition, but dependig on how you can swallow liquids after the op you should be able to consume a volume of water tht will be of benefit to your challenge. Have you spoken to your doc about this. I was on a drip for a few days pushing through the liquid. I am sure your needs will be able to be met. Good luck. | |

| Hi, Just thinking - urals may not work as they are fizzy. Why not try cranberry juice hot or cold, - I drink lemon and barley low cal, hot or cold. Sip, sip and sip. Cheers, Wendy | |

| Hi Rebecca...
I don;t have the condition so am not much help in that regard...
However I was able to drink warm water (like tea/coffee but without any additives) not long after surgery. Now at eight months out I can drink a glass of water (whatever temp) with no worries -- probably just as fast as I used to...

| Hi there, I suffer quite badly with intercystitial cystitis or painful bladder syndrome. I am hoping to be sleeved early this year but am worried about water intake. I pretty much don't drink anything other than water(plus 1 morning coffee) as anything else irratates my bladder. I have to drink plenty of water in a day to keep my pee very diluted to reduce pain. I'm worried about being able to drink enough water after the op to reduce bladder pain. I'm more worried about this than the pain post op in my tummy! I need to have at least 2 ural drinks a day and also take herbal tablets.. Does anyone else out there have this condition?? Please?? Would love to chat with any sleevets who have this condition, and see how their symptoms were post op. Thanks, Rebecca | |
