Great to hear you are feeling better.

If you can suck it up a straw you can have it........LOL!!
Thats what my dietician told me about the puree stage.

Not much nutritional value in potato, have some custard and pureed fruit, yoghurt or something with protein in it.

Well feeling a lot better today! finally feel a little normal. However my question to you is do you think tonight would be too early to try a little bit of runny mashed potato or baked beans?

The breath thing is foul.
I'm only noticing an improvement now.

Ugh.

Me too Rowena, Me too!

Sucks doesn't it. I just wish the next month would disappear and get to the point where I feel well again. Have no idea how I am going to face Christmas at my house? Ergh!!

And despite brushing my teeth and giving myself a "whole mouth clean" 3 x day, I have a foul taste lingering. I blame the hospital - gave me a sustagen made with OFF MILK!!! NOT helpful!!

Hope it helps to know someone else is in the same revolting boat!!
x J

I had to crush mine for 1 month (surgeons orders and I really wouldn't have been comfortable swallowing them anyway). Just make sure that any tablets you take are able to be crushed. Some have to be swallowed whole... I had to change one of my blood pressure tablets wasn't able to be crushed.

I haven;t needed to crush any tablets.
Just took them as normal.

Don't take them together as it could make you feel sick.

I take mine with a sip of lemon and lime bitters cordial. I cannot stomach water. Only cordial or apple juice watered down (though, even that is making me sick, sick of the stuff)

I too couldn't sleep very well for a while. Last night was the first time I managed a full night sleep since the OP.

I felt like shit too. I was better today then slept from 11 - 2:30pm. What the?

Slowly slowly.

Hi Rowena,

Congrats on getting your surgery done...I have been reading your different threads and feel I sort of know you already! Don't worry...not a stalker, just someone with too much time on their hands post-op like you ;)

Sorry to hear that you are feeling so blah...not much will cure that except time unfortunately. I'm 9 days out from a sleeve today and feeling good, had a bumpy start like you...but things do get better. Can you take something a little stronger than panadol? This may help with the yuk feeling and help you get some rest as well, nothing feels worse than when you are uncomfortable and tired....poor thing.

Take it easy and come and vent whenever, chances are someone is feeling the same as you.

Big hugs,

Jiggly
