| Welcome Matey,
I enjoyed your introductiion, it struck a chord with me, gods know how many times i did naughty supply runs to the local supermarket or corner shop, bakery, takwaway. Oh yea, I hear ya there.
I am on day 2 of my opti-yuk diet, frak but i hate the stuff hehe. Good luck, well luck doesnt have much to do with it, just be strong and follow through. It will be worth it.
Cheers

| Great intro Seamus!
I'm a fellow November sleever, due to start the dreaded opti diet this weekend (also happens to be my 30th).
You've made it this far, keep up the great work. Looking forward to hearing about your experience. | |

| Hi Seamus,
The serious but oh so comedic first entry had me laughing but also remembering where I had come from. Take it from me it is the best thing that you will ever ever ever do for yourself. Plus if you chicken out I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN AND KICK YOUR BUM LOL
Seriously, this surgery has not only saved my life probably but my self respect and self esteem as well.
Go for it !!!
Hugs Gail

| Hi Seamus and Welcome,
Woo hoo, only 8 sleeps to go (or if last night's anything to go by, maybe less, LOL) That was a fantastic intro, I hope you caught up with some sleep so you can continue ASAP :-)
I love the thought of your post-op pic, if you wear your hospital gown, with a second one on your head as a scarf so it all looks a bit "nativity", you could send it out as Chrissy cards.
Have a good look around the site, there is a lot of great information here to help you along the way. Here are some links to get you started: The Diaries are a fantastic resource, and the Pre-op & Post-op sections will be helpful too. . Along with the November Sleevers section where you'll find other of members who are at the same stage as you. Have a read of the Welcome to Newbies section too, it will give you an idea of how the site works, and if you want to put a ticker in your signature the instructions are there.
If you can't find answers to your questions, ask away :-) there is sure to be someone about to do their best to help and support you.
It's great to meet you, and I look forward to talking to you more around the site.
Cheers - Carrie

| Welcome Seamus
From the sounds of your eating style, this operation will really do what you want. I can almost guarantee it. Regarding bulking up, I would say that early on it would very likely be hard, but a few months/year out you can definitely fit more in, and while it wouldn't be the same, I'm sure you would get a good result.
Good luck with your operation.
