Hi Chris and welcome to the forum...Do what ever you have too,( beg ,steal )...You will never look back...This is the BEST THING THAT I HAVE EVER DONE for myself...You too will learn to love the sleeve...

Now that you have made the decision to change your life I am sure that the money will come from somewhere.

Having found out about Gastric Sleeves today from my good friend, I have abandoned my desire for banding in preference for the Sleeve!

Mine is the usual story: Have been on a steady yo-yo upwards for about 20 years, tried all the diets, fad or otherwise, and have ultimately been unsuccessful.

Now that I'm in my 40's my weight is having serious health impacts. I have high blood pressure, sleep apnoea, insulin resistance, oesophageal reflux, and depression/anxiety (which may not be related but more than likely is!)

My current weight tends to oscillate between 115 and 120 kg, but I have been 135 kg at my heaviest.

The only thing stopping me from having the surgery is money!
