| Hi Sami,
I've tried a few protien bars and some are just ick! I did try the Atkins bars and they are nice and I wouldn't worry about the fat in them. The body needs fat and I don't think any of us are consuming that much fat with our new stomachs. I know if I do have say a food fried I can barely get any in! I had some yummy good old fashioned chips last night from a little take away and with some chicken I barely got say five chips in! But I digress ...
Enjoy the bars.

| Never tried an Atkins bar!
I carry in my handbag, Biggest Loser Snack Bars (Protein 9.6, Fat 2.5, Carb 5.4) or Aussie Bodies Mini Protein Bars (Protein 8.8, Fat 3.0, Carb 1.9) to munch on if I am travelling or out and about for the day. | |

| calories count more than fat. work out how many calories you are adding to your day with them/ the snack ones would never be a problem but something more than 200 calories for a regular every day snack if you are eating well at meal times is a bit high. enjoying those over 200 calories as an occassional snack cause you like them great choice. also a good regular choice for those still struggling getting in enough calories at meals.
they are the nicest protien bars out there yummo :)

| I don't really worry about fat intake, esp if you're getting your protein in. I mean, I wouldn't eat buckets of fat all day, but the small amount in a bar I wouldn't worry about. | |

| Hi everyone, After plateauing I've been trying to get creative with my protein intake so today I've tried an Atkins bar and I am actually really enjoying it !! It excites me because of the high protein content but I've found they're also high in fat. What's our stance on this ?? Should I continue eating these ? Or steer clear of them because of the fat content ? Cheers, Sami =) | |
