| I didn't have a bad day at all - I could go to the toilet by myself as soon as I woke up properly. I could lie on my sides no problem and didn't have any shoulder pain at all. | |

| My first day was absolutely horrendous. Everything after that was much better, although certainly still some not-so-fantastic days for the first 3 weeks especially. | |

| As soon as I woke up! I had a full bladder, a world of pain and Nurse Ratched who did little to help ... I remember looking over at my Mum when my husband ducked out of the room and bursting into tears and saying "I know this is the pain talking but I wish I didn't do this". I had a slow and painful recovery but I would do it again. | |

| Well I will say even though Day 2 sucked a bit, it was by no stretch of the imagination "bad". I just haven't had any surgery before so maybe I was whining heh. | |

You'll be OK!!
It's all good!

| Day 2 after surgery was the worst - sore shoulder, felt sick/pain/just weird in the guts and didn't know what I wanted. Had 2 drains, and a nasogastric tube that made me gag every time I moved my head.. ugh. Hideous.
Happily, Day 3 was 1000% better! | |
