I know they are probably slightly different but BIG W has them for $49 as well...

I saw some at athletes foot they are like birkenstocks so i think i might check those ones out as i HATE wearing shoes and am a thongs girl through and through

I ended up getting them from trims in the city and they were $239 but then I joined the loyalty club and got 10% discount. I just did my first curves workout too - I wont be wearing them when I do that though....lol....

I got them and I'm wearing them now!! Woohoo. Taking a bit to get used to as it feels like you're walking on sponges. They came with an instructional dvd as well so will watch that a bit later.

But so far so good - I can see how they will tone different muscles!!

Thanks guys - I'm just gonna wait for my tax refund to come through and then I will be treating myself. Seeing its a real waste of money to by clothes at the moment I can still buy shoes - woo hoo!!

I know Athletes Foot it NZ and also Rebel sports in NZ sell them - not sure if you have either of these stores in Australia

If you go on to http://www.skechers.com.au/ you will see a list of stockists. Also it looks like they can ship to Australia from the USA - just compare prices!

Probably going and trying them on somewhere would be a good idea though.

Thanks for that heads-up ShiftHappens. I've been looking at them for a little while and thought I'd give them a go now. But I've got a really dodgy knee which I don't want to injure more so I'll avoid them.

My knees are not in too great of shape so they did not work for me at all. I sold them on eBay. But I have a couple of friends who loved theirs. So if your knees are solid and strong, they might be great for you. But if you have weak knees, it puts quite a bit of extra stress on them with the additional wobble in your walking.

I totally have to give them a go I think - good knowing that they can cause discomfort to begin with and it goes away - my posture is getting worse - so anything that can help and of course anything that will tone the butt LOL

Hi,
A nurse at work wears them & swears by them. She said initially it made her back & bottom a bit sore but now the muscles are used to their different positions she feels her posture is a lot better & no backaches. She said she felt like a wobbly doll the first few times she wore them & that her teenagers would rush by & give her a nudge just to see her rock.

Just wondering if anyone wears Sketchers Shape Ups? Do they help with toning muscles? Do they do anything at all?
