you really need the good stuff in a complete meal replacement. if you dont like the optifast ones try the tony ferguson ones they mix in boiling water just like a normal cup of soup and are a complete meal replacement.

Hi Babykins,

Yes, you can have other soups, as long as they're well strained. But there is more nutrition in an optifast soup or shake, or something like Sustagen hospital formula. You should try to include something like that too if you can, plus drinking yoghurt, fruit juice and vege juice etc. You really won't be able to fit a lot in, but I was told not to worry about the colories/fat etc for the first two weeks, just to get in as much nutrition as I could (not much, LOL) to help my healing.

Hi, i am a little nervous, i am getting sleeved tomorrow, and was wondering about the liquid diet, I realise that you are not allowed to have any solids what so ever, but was wonderig if you can just make u a packet of frenchonion soup and strain it or chicken noodle form thegrocery store or do you have to have the expensive optifast soups, please can anyone answer me?
