| Thank you all for your kindness. I'm so excited, people think I'm mad! I know it may be a tough road to travel, but I'm prepared for the worst, I think!

| No, I don't regret it one bit! The only thing I really miss is not being able to eat a big bowl of pasta (which in reality is a really good thing because that's why I had to have the sleeve in the first place). However, I still mourn the loss of my good friend, my comfort food of choice - pasta). I can still eat it, but have to stop at the 4th forkfull. All that goes out the window though when I stand on the scales and it just keeps going down without even trying! | |

| "Does anyone regret having the sleeve and why? Michelle" Michelle, it is tomorrow! Good luck, hope the surgery goes smoothly for you. I was "sleeved" 25 days ago and I have dropped 2 dress sizes, I can walk more easily and have halved my blood pressure meds and stopped others. The first couple of weeks were a pain not being able to eat, then when I could eat I overdid it! Take it SLOWLY, you will be in baby mode and learning to eat again. Love your tummy, tell it all will be well; make sure you get your protein to heal the stomach. You are no longer living to eat you are learning to eat to live Weron. I love those words from Weron. I am writing them on my fridge! Last night I had a girl's movie night followed by dinner at a local pub. I had done all my protein for the day and so ate 2 scoops of ice cream and fresh mango while my friends ate their tandoori chicken, kofta lamb, a tasting plate of yummy goodies, and a a beef dish. My ice cream and mango was delicious! Oh yes, and yesterday my jeans, so tight before, FELL OFF! I will be thinking of you tomorrow. Margi. | |

| On the odd occasion I think what have I done ???? This is ONLY when I am out eating dinner with work colleagues or customers (I'm an IT Acct Mgr - so entertaining is quite a big part of my role - which got me to be more overweight than I was).
Other than that.. I love who I am, the way I look and feel.. and I know that I couldn't have done it without help !

| I am glad I had the sleeve the only problem I have had just 5wks out from the surgery, is getting my head around the amount of food I can eat at the moment. Although have been told that will increase over time. But my skin looks the best it has in years, I no longer take blood pressure medication and I just feel better within myself. So if all I have to worry about is learning to rethink my way eating I pretty sure I will be able to manage that in time. My surgeon said to me Wendy now you are sleeved you are no longer living to eat you are learning to eat to live and that is so true. I have no regrets the long term benefit far out weighs any hard times ahead. Weron | |

| Im nearly a month out and pretty much no regrets..well no long lasting ones. I recovered really well but did take it easy so I could recover. The worst bit for me is dinner time wishing I could eat more than I can or wishing for a nice steak..yummm apart from that no...the weight going down I love and long term sleevers promise me I will be able to eat more later on.
all the best x | |

I went into this well researched and knew exactly what I was in for.
I had a fantastic recovery from surgery and now feel normal, only difference is I eat smaller amounts. My recovery has been fairly long, but thats more to do with me not doing what I'm told, and taking the recommended meds. I could have made my recovery so much easier by just sticking to the advice I was given. 13 months out, I am feeling human, and although the last 13 months have been hard, I wouldn't change a thing. | |

| really everybody has a few misery days in the first month or 2. frustration at how little they can eat and a what on earth have I done. But unless somebody has a leak seriius complication or badley treated hospital experence there really is not many at all coming forward with regrets. Actually I cant remember anybody at all besides what I mentioned. I would love to hear of any long term regrets about having the surgery.

| Hello
I'm due to be sleeved on Wednesday 26th May 2010 and just wondered if anyone has regreted having the sleeve and why? Or, what's the worst part of having the sleeve? I know the best part, the weight loss, but not many people have spoken to me of the down sides. Honesty would really be appreciated, thank you.
