| Hey Nimue, I have been using diet jelly crystals to flavour the vanilla shakes. I just dissolve the crystals in a splash of boiling water then mix the shake and add the jelly mix and shake the crud out of it. Tastes so much better. In a rush I have even just sprinkled the crystals on top of the opti mix in my shaker and it worked fine, a bit grainy for the last mouthful or so but completely acceptable to me. Also have made up the whole jelly mix using boiling water and added a vanilla shake and let it set so I have a thick thick shake. I actually feel full with my thick shake and a cuppa. So much easier to stick to the opti-diet now. Cheers Kylie | |

| Thanks for the happy dance Miss.
Meghan I tried the lemon opti...hated it, thought my own version would be an improvement. I'm going to add my vegy allownace to the vegy soup to improve it, here's hoping!!

| Yay! Off and running!
I've started my opti already even though my surgery isn't until June. I may have a fatty liver so doing everything I can to make sure I get this operation!
I might be the odd one here but I actually don't mind the Opti shakes, the soups on the other hand make me want to throw up LOL But try the lemon dessert, it was really yum and sounds like what you were trying to make.

| When I went to my dr in Oct 09 and he recommended sleeving I was 122kls since then I have lost 10.1 kls, I sat on 113-115 for several months but busted that record this week with 111.9 I was so excited to get under 112.
I'm now starting day 1 of opti...I dont have a date yet...why you may ask??
I'm trying to get aheads of the game, when I see the surgeon on 10 may, I dont' want anymore delays, so I figure if I've already done opti have lost a few more kilos and have my sugar down to around 6 as requested, all he will need to do is find me a surgery slot.....woohoo.
I've read lots of info about how you guys have done optipuke, so I have a plan... I will add guam gum to my vanilla (hate vanilla, got to to add other flavours to it) with a splash of lemon essence and walah!! lemon pudding...something with texture I can eat with a spoon ...not!! it wouldn't set and the cap full of lemon essence hardly altered the flavour...
back to the drawing board.
