| hi everyone, thanks so much for replying, I am actually sitting here with a smile on my face knowing I am not the only one who feels this way. I dont regret having the sleeve its just that I didnt know how much tougher it was going to be. But everyday I get better and better at it and knowing there is somewhere I can ask for help is great. Thanks Libby for the invite to the Adelaide catch up's, dont know if I am ready yet, you see I have only told my closest family & friends about the sleeve. | |

| I am with applesauce... I look at food now and go.. which one will taste the best.... I want something that is tasty and divine... I am not eating for the sake of eating anymore. I look at food in a totally different way now. I look at sugary and fatty foods and my stomach does a tumble and a half and I go, nope.... not going to even try it....
I love my sleeve! | |

| Honestly it does happen it is like this oh my gawd moment. I think mine came when faced with the most amazing smorgasboard I had every seen and I went. Oh wow all those fantastic things to TASTE!!!!! It wasnt about how much I could eat any more it was about taste, about quality over quantity. Both the male of the species and I are both total foodies now we just love adore can not get to try enough different foods. We love eating out and trying new things. We just dont care if we only eat 2 spoons of something we get it to taste it. Dessert is just about always shared and most times half of it is left but trust me we enjoy those 2 or 3 spoons of it and dont feel deprived one little bit. It takes time, but you will get there. Once you can fit in an entree size meal with a glass of wine without feeling like an over stuffed turkey life becomes GOOD :) applesauce | |

| Hi Shyone,
Welcome and congrats on 'coming out'.
Yep, I still have trouble with my head. I want to eat until everything on my plate is gone. I want to eat dessert like sticky date pudding or chocolate mud cake and quickly eat 3 or 4 teaspoons then immediately feel neseaus and sweaty. Will I never learn.
Hopefully you will come to one of the Adelaide meetups. There is one in a couple of weeks. | |
