| Thank you for the book suggestions/discussion. For some of the books the links were to older editions so at first it looked like they weren't in stock, but a quick search for the author and I could find the new editions on bookdepository.comĀ
I also checked ebooks/itunes as I have an iPad mini and do a lot of reading off that. Ended up buying the following as ebooks:
Fat No More: Long Term Success Following Weight Loss Surgery by Gail Engebretson & Robert Magnan $8.99
Before and After: Living and Eating Well After Weight-Loss Surgery 2nd Edition by Susan Maira Leach $9.99
Recipes for Life After Weight Loss Surgery: Revised and Updated by Margaret M. Furtado $11.99

| well finally got the last of my 4 books yesterday. took about 3 weeks for all four of my books to come. not to bad considering i live in a regional area of the country.
From what i have read so far i personally am preferring the eating well after weight loss surgery cookbook, from the two cook books i did order. all the recipes can be pretty much eaten from liquidised stage to end stage ie when cutting up and eating 'normal' type food. all the savoury type recipes that consist of chicken etc are able to be blitzed down for when needed. purely my initial thoughts though.
i am really looking forward to reading the book ...fat no more....written by a lady who turned her journal into a book and from the flick through, some of it seemed funny and some of it seemed to offer hints etc, so i hope thats what i will be doing this weekend....green tea and a book.....lol
well wishes for now folks
cheers

| Book depository is a great site. It is worth checking titles on www.booko.com.au this site searches for the cheapest price for each title. I have found some titles cheaper on the US book depository, nile, etc. It is good to find a range of recipes to use to stop boredom creeping in. | |

| just wanted to say thanks very much for posting this website. i just found my way to click on four books ...i even did the confessional to the other half that id been online spending money instead of them just miraculously showing up in the house. lol. the four books i ordered were Recipes for life after weight loss surgery Eating well after weight loss surgery Weightloss surgery success workbook and Fat no more long term success following weight loss surgery i dont get to have my first consult with the surgeon until 23 august so i am hoping that these books arrive a little bit before then. i found some of the prices cheaper in australian dollars than some other australian book sites and i imagine that these australian sites would get the books from the US just the same. in this case it was actually cheaper to go straight to the horses mouth so to speak i will endeavour to give some feedback once i get them well wishes all | |

| Hi there Thanks for that book site - I have already passed it on to lots of other people - it looks good. There is an Australian book called "Knife, Fork and Band" which is written for the obviously banded people, but its rules apply to us sleevers too - and it is Australian and has loads of information. It is also split up into the various weeks re the post-op diet, but it also has all the dietary information, menu planner and exercise info. I am using it pretty much every day - the recipes are easy to follow and the guidelines in there are really informative. I wish I had this book during some of the 10 years I had a band!! Anyway, just adding my little bit of local knowledge - limited as it is. this book depository will increase it loads. Ozzieloz | |

Weightloss surgery for dummies! The everything guide to post weightloss surgery!
Both released this month!!
And that's without doing any searches, or looking for my favourite Authors!!
Free postage you say.....Hmmm...

If have havent heard of the book depository it is brilliant and quick free delivery!
I just borrowed the above book from the library and it is brilliant.
Goes thru the weeks of what you can eat and then all the recipes have from what week number after surgery you can eat it! and all the protein, carb info too
It doesnt specifically have the gastric sleeve but has GBP,Band and BPD in there and it is american so you have a few ounces in there etc but most have both...
it has sections on brekkie brunch, lunch, soups, salads, appetizers and entertaining, veges and side dishes, dry rubs for meat and poultry, dinners and desserts...
Cool..Im going to see what other books I want to buy now....
