I was sleeved 5 weeks ago and it's the best thing I ever did for myself. I'm down 16 kilos and feel better than I have in years. I'm looking forward to running around with the kids more and taking them to the beach (without the rspca being called)!

Im very sorry to hear about your brother, hopefully in no time you will be able to play with his kiddies, and start enjoying life again.

Welcome. I am also from Sydney. today is exactly 4 months since i had surgery. Started at 165.5 and this morning I weighed 131. best decision I have ever made.

Thanks for introducing yourself. It's amazing how good you feel after this operation. I've lost 20 kilos and already am finding that I don't huff and puff just walking to and from the toilet like I used to.
It's a fantastic operation and i'm sure you'll be coaching footy again soon.

Hi Mick and welcome. I have been sleeved seven weeks today and it is honestly the best
thing I have done. No regrets at all.

I hear you on the health issues, that was my main reason for the sleeve.

Hi everyone my name is mick been looking at the site for a couple of weeks know thought it was time to introduce my self i am getting sleeved on the 10 feb 2010 by dr Craig Taylor i am so excited wish it was happening tomorrow have been big all my live...i am so hoping this is going to change my live and be able to do the things that i used to do, coach a football side again,play touch football and go trail bike riding..like i said have always been big i was sitting around the 140 kg mark till my elder brother passed away 3 and a half years ago at 37 years old ever since then i have gained weight alot over the 200kg mark know and not really feeling comfortable doing anything anymore...i moved back to my parents house after my brother passed away and every weekend his kids come and stay with us they are 8,7 and 4 know and i can't even go to the park with them for to long before my back gets sore and i wanna sit down it upsets me...have loved reading everyones topics and finding out about people that have had the sleeve done or are waiting to get it done...i will be asking alot of questians and keeping you posted about becoming a happier and healthier person....would love to know when you guy's have your get together im in sydney and would love to meet some of you.....
