Hi MTG,

Yeah another sleever with Dr Harrison. There are 3 of us on this site now. I was sleeved on the 1st November and feel great. Dr Harrison, Tracey, and Dr Graham are fantastic. Very supportive. Have you met with the dietician? I saw Jocelyn and she was really good.

Not long to go now. I struggled with the optifast for the first 4 days. After that you kind of get into the zone and it gets a lot easier. It's easier knowing there is a goal. The staff at Calvery are very nice too. Enjoy the rest (with drugs) after surgery!

Oh and I agree with Gail. The strawberry and the coffee optifast were the most palatable for me.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Hi MTG and welcome

I understand the emotions, up, down, all over the shop but as soon as you have the op it is all over.
Opti is a burden that we all have to bear and pretty much nobody loves it but we all grin and bear it to have a lovely healthy liver on surgery day. With the opti I found the Strawberry and the Coffee much better than the others.

Good luck and don't forget if you need help or are just having a bad day jump on here and there will be someone to help out.

Cheers Gail.

I am being sleeved on the 30th as well and I am also starting Optifast on the 16th,
do keep posting and we can compare notes. There is also a November sleevers thread so introduce yourself in there.
Let us know how you are going on the optifast (I'm not looking forward to it)
