| Fantastic News Jodi! The publicity will hopefully let so many people know about the surgery, whom could really benefit from it. All the best Chook | |

| Well i can only give my own opinion and I really thought she was just wingeing. When I started my journey I did it as a public patient and was given every bit of information i could handle as well as all the reasearch I could do on my own and I was also sent to see a nutritionist as well as a phychologist and there was nothing left to chance i was extremely informed i felt and so was surprised at her reaction to how much her life had changed. As far as only being able to eat small amounts and how she couldnt go out to dinner with her husband because she couldnt eat much, all these things she should have known about. I know some of these changes can still come as a shock but she should see the weight come off and rejoice in it and work around the more trivial things. She even complained that she had gotten shorter lol...... | |

| Welldone and thanks. fortunately I didnt see the programme but enough people did in my family to put negative thoughts out there and I must say it actually concerned me at the time. Im having surgery in just under 2 weeks and this was the only time that I wasnt sure about it. Thanks to all of you for your comments, I was hoping that someone would say that the lady was a bit of a whinge because that kinda sums it up for me! | |

| Heya Jodi,
You go gal.... well done for putting your hand up & being a responsbible advocate for the sleeve.
I totally missed the episode you are talking about.......but sounds very much like there was no balance - thus misrepresenting the results achievable by the majority with the sleeve......not good journalism at all..........did they talk about why the sleeve failed for this lady ?.... was there self-sabotage involved or unusual medical problems - i imagine there would be an underlying reason for her poor results - just wondering if the show highlighted those in a responsible way.
hugs gal Bella....xx | |

| Hi Jodi I really look forward to reading your story. my mum saw that segment on TV and now she has based her opinion on the sleeve surgery on what this lady had to say. (I unfortunately did not get the chance to watch it and have not been able to find a copy of it on there website or YouTube) so you can see my mum is worried and not very supportive of me having the surgery. i have seven months to work on her and convince her that all will be fine and this is best decision for me. Again looking forward to readying your article if posted on here. Lozzy | |

| Ohhh how exciting!!!
Pity neither of you got responses re the other story as more success stories need to be out there to combat that woman who I truly believe would whinge about anything and everything (that was just my first impression of her...lol)
Make sure you post the articles Jodi...cant wait to see it :) | |

| Oh, Jodi, that's great - good on you! I sent an email off to the TV show complaining about that article, but never even got a response. Good luck with the interview. Hugs Chris | |

| Well ladies is this the time to really shine, I remember not long ago while watching A Current Affair the particular segment on this night was about a lady who had the sleeve done and was upset about how she felt it was failing her and was all negative etc It got my hackles up immensly because they should have backed it up with a person who it was successful for as for the majority this is a very successful procedure. I tried to write what I thought on their website but it wouldnt let me vent hahahah so now ive been given my opportunity, the local paper here has asked my trainers if id like to do a piece for them on my success with the sleeve and of course as support for my gym and Breast Cancer awareness so im going to get the good word out their x Jodi ............................ | |
